Next in Q Podcast Episode 11 – Andrew Copson: In a Secular Motion

18th April 2019

Tune in to a new episode of Quilliam’s ‘Next in Q’ podcast with your host Quilliam International’s Director of Policy, David Toube, speaks to Andrew Copson of Humanists UK about the meaning of Humanism, and how religious communities can benefit from a secular society.

“If secularism is going to work as a political settlement in this country …it has to appeal to religious minorities, especially ones which are growing in political confidence, wealth and social presence. … We’re now in a position where everyone’s a minority, actually. … Secularists have to speak to and convince religious minorities, including ones with very conservative, illiberal moral opinions, that secularism is the right settlement for them.”
